You did it!
In 2024, GSSfS challenged you to write letters and reach a total of 200. We are pleased to report we received 200…and more!
These letters have been shared during a visit to Westminster where a group of pupils and teachers met with James Frith MP.
Celebrate 10 years of GSSfS by sharing your voice!
This enrichment activity encourages pupils of all ages to write and share a letter with us in order to make a great noise about why science is important in our lives now and in the future.
As Great Science Share for Schools turns 10, we are raising the profile of science by shouting about what we think is important.
The aim is to make a noise about why asking-investigating and sharing science is important to all our futures.
Pupils could answer key questions including:
What do you like about learning science?
What has been your favourite science enquiry you’ve done in school?
What kinds of things do you want to do more of in science?
Why is science important to everyone in our school and world?
Why is science important to you now, and for the future?
Age: Early Years, 5-7, 7-9, 9-11 years, 11-14 years
Curriculum topic: Literacy: letter writing, PSHE
BE SAFE: We recommend that pupils sign their letters with first names only, or using their age and location, e.g. ‘Age 8 from Twickenham’. It is essential that teachers always adhere fully to their school safeguarding policies and practices.
